There is a company called “Card Holder Services” that is calling people by random. This is believed to be another credit card scam companies out there who register names close to the real companies to scam people. BEWARE. They’re all fraud. The last call came from a person by the name of Rachael from 402-982-0664. It’s a scam people.
If the credit card company want to lower your interest rate, do you think they would actually call you?
Don’t you think they make more money to have you pay them more fees (illegal interest rates – also known as usery) rather than trying to save you money? They are in the business of making money, so why would they call you to tell you that you can save money. Most likely, the WILL NOT. You are the one who really have to call them and talk with them.
Stay away from all these fraud companies. They just want to get your personal information and clean you out. Clean you out means, rob you blind.
CARDEMEMBER SERIVCES IS A SCAM. THE PRIVATE COMPANY IS UNRELATED TO ANY CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND IS FISHING FOR YOUR PRIVATE INFORMATION.
ANY CALL FROM AREA CODE (402) OR (202) IS A SCAM. REPORT THEM TO YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT.
Just recieved a call from”card holder services”. When they got to the point of asking for my card number,I knew something was up. Of course I refused and hung up.I suggest that everyone does the same.
I was just contacted by ‘Card Holder Services’ offering me a interest rate reduction. They called from 713 301-8471, which seemed odd, since my credit card company never calls from a local number.
I pushed the button to ‘Talk to a Representative’ and I asked what company this was…they hung up immediately!
I called my credit card company and they assured me it is a SCAM! They will occasionally call to offer rate reductions, but they will always identify themselves as the EXACT card company, not a name that sounds like a department in the company.
“Rachel” at Cardholder Services just called me again today, and my number is on the National DO Not Call Registry. It seems they call me once every 90 days or so. The best response is to hang up immediately. Whatever you do, do NOT push any buttons, and never give out personal information to a stranger that calls you. Is definitely a scam!
Yes I am getting the call from card holder services and get the same response as everyone else. Has any one tried to act as if they are interested and then find out what company name they are opperating as? I am getting the calls on both my cell and home phones, if it’s the cell, it has the same area code and the first 3 numbers of my phone, and if it’s the home phone it is the same area code and first 3 numbers of that phone. I too am on the do not call list. and if I could I would sue them. can anyone help me figure out how we can get this to stop?
This outfit, operated by criminals, is run at least in part out of Key Largo, Florida. they take advantage of Florida’s lax enforcement posture to white-collar criminal activity. they have sophisticated electronics to disguise their outgoing phone numbers.
they call me 2 or 3 times a week and i also on the do not call reg. but i talked to a guy one day and ask to be taken off there call list and he said no and hung up. they use dif. numbers to call from also. so now days i just push the 1 button and lay the phone down untill i hear them hang up. i wish i new how to report them!!
If someone finds out the business behind this, I would really like to know. I have a surprise for them on more ways that one.
I am trying to track them down to give a good report. In the meantime, just hang up on them, and do it every time they call. Don’t even bother dialing “2” to get removed, as they do not remove any numbers from their robo-calling list.
I am called at least three times a week by these crooks. I waited to talk to someone and asked where they were from the woman wouldn’t give her name and said they were located all over the US. All she would tell me is she was calling from Hershey Penna. then hung up. The Penna. Consumer Fraud Dept. was called and told me there was nothing they could do. What good are they?? And the crap goes on!!
Rachel has carried her lard ass to another area code. My local law enforcement no longer handles harassment calls, since Missouri has formed the Missouri No-Call Registry. So, until Missouri is gathering up tons of complaints, so the Attorney General can file on the harasser, I get these irritating and unsolicited phone offers. Fat ass Rachel is now calling from 206-214-5578. If only someone could nail this outfit down to a physical address, I make it a point to enhance their holiday spirit by choking the shit out of….
I just recieved a call from card holders services… they told me how they wanted to lower my interest rate,,and I said I bet you want my credit card number,, he said they had to have it so they know what card number to lower my interest,,,, I told them I knew this is a scam,,, I said I am going to report it and hung up,,,, I hope you all do the same,,,does anyone know how to stop these scams or know who to report them to to
There are other phone numbers involved They are 619-279-1287, which is a cell phone number from San Diego, CA., and 281-217-0241 from Houston, TX., and a land line 425-390-8134 from Renton WA. The FBI has been notified and the FBI suggest that if you screen your calls from numbers that you don’t know, do not answer, and let it go to voice mail, if the call is legit they will leave a message. After you quit answering their call they will drop you and call someone else.
I’ve been getting calls from these people as well… yesterday evening they called my house and I pressed ‘9’ to speak to a representative. I got a fellow with a thick Indian accent and asked him if he’d ever heard of the “Do Not Call” list. He asked me to hang on and he’d get my number removed. So I waited, and when he came back he’d evidently brought his manager with him. He still did most of the talking but this other fellow kept interjecting. After a lot of typing, he told me I was set and my number was removed.
I then asked him what company he worked for, and he said “Card Holder Services”. I said yes, but what company?? He said “Card Holder Services of Visa and Mastercard”. I said don’t be ridiculous; those are two separate companies who would not share their service department. At this point his manager interjected something in an Indian language (Hindi?) and the line went dead.
This morning they called my cell phone, and this time the directions were to press ‘1’ to talk to somebody. So I did and this time I got a fellow with a thick southern accent who inquired if I was interested in lower rates. I said, no, I’m interested in getting you to stop calling me. He hung up promptly.
IF anyone finds these people, I will help give them some suprise too Ted!
I fell for this scam last night. Gave them all the information to them. I changed all my cr card numbers. I also called ATT and my computer might have been hacked. I tried the BBB but only said they were from Flordia. The number they gave me was 877-620-4922. I called back to cancel but they told me I was to late. If anyone can help me please advise. These people call 3 or 4 times a week. I have reported these calls to the F.T.C and the F.C.C. and the no call list people. I guess these agencys are too lazy or too stupid to do anything about this problem. Remember these are government agencys.
I just got the”the Call”. I also knew it was a scam, but played with them for awhile. I gave them a bogus CC # and exp. date. The quickly said they had pulled up my info and were excited to tell me I qualified for an amazing 6.5% interest rate. They said it would show up on my next statement.
I told them that it seemed odd that i was qualifieing for a lower interest rate on a card that didnt exsist!! And I informed them that I was recording the call. And I told them I was a COP!! I think the guy messed his pants. He couldnt even speak. I said…..”well, expect a visit from the cops sir, because your voice recording is all I need”. At the very end , I asked him how he would feel if some horrible person like himself scammed HIS grandparents!!!! Then he hung up. probably had to go change his pants. UGH
All we can do is report this calls to the Attorney Generals Office, I know in Wyoming they are compiling and getting ready to do a massive investigation with states having the same complaints. If they break these guys. Get ready for a massive massive lawsuit.
Got a call from CHS, one of many, this time from some dimwit called Bill. Once I got at him, the best he could do (very badly) was try to imitate my British speach. Well next time, and of course they will keep calling, it will get recorded and that recording sent to the LA state Attourney General.
Have received two calls from these folks in the last two days. Both from “Card Services”.
423-647-0040 is the number they called from. I went ahead and pressed whatever number they prompted to speak to someone. Got someone. Asked to be taken off. Was told that I have so many credit cards with $X,XXX balance. When I said thank you, but no thanks – can I please get taken off of the list – she proceeded to tell me they had no “list” (how’d you get my number then, idiot…) and then hung up on me.
Just another number to add to my “blocked” list with my provider….
This company has been calling me for over six months.I have contacted both the Missouri Attorney Generals Office and the National No Call registry on on several occasions to make complaints. I just recieved another call from them and talked to someone. this time I told them I had contacted the Missouri Attorney Generals Office, the guy said I was stupid and hung up. Someone needs to step up and do something about these scammers. iIt dont even have a regular credit card, just a prepaid one. If they want it go ahead you wont get anything.
